In the first paragraph, discuss a piece of news that came out regarding the country(Pakistan) over the course of the week leading up to that Friday. The news source is up to you.
<
<
After the first paragraph where you discuss the piece of news, please write another paragraph analyzing the news source that you used: what is the audience targeted by that news source; can you identify any inherent biases that news source may have (for example: do they have an agenda and if so, what is it; who is their target audience; do they have a particular political leaning; do they express the views of the owner, who is the owner and what are their views; are they pro- or against a particular country or policy issue). This second paragraph can be shorter, sometimes a couple of sentences may suffice as long as the required content is covered. If you use the same source of news for a subsequent Friday news post, you may copy-paste the second paragraph where you analyze the news source. Make sure you cite the news source (provide a link where applicable).

Grading Criteria
<
<
Maximum number of points for each News Post = 3
<
– If nothing is turned in by the deadline = 0 points
<
– If the post is turned in by the deadline, but the country name is not written under Comments (see above) = 0 points
<
– If the post is made by the deadline and the country name is written under Comments, the 3 points are distributed as follows:
<
– 2 points for the first paragraph where the piece of news is discussed; to get full credit, you need to write a full paragraph (one sentence is not sufficient) where you present a summary of the article you read/news segment you listened to or watched; the article/news segment must be from the week leading up to the Friday when you make the post; grammar and spelling mistakes will be penalized if they make the text difficult to follow;
<
– 1 point for the second paragraph where the source of news is analyzed (if the source citation/link is missing, there is a 0.5 point deduction).
